Counselling Service

Counselling is a form of support which can enable you to:

  • Talk about your thoughts and feelings
  • Gain awareness and understanding
  • Work out what changes to make
  • Improve your overall health
  • Raise your self-esteem and confidence
  • Get more from life

Why is counselling needed?

Carers often find themselves in situations where their own needs and wishes take second place to those of the person they are caring for. They may find caring frustrating as well as rewarding. Sometimes carers find it difficult to talk to friends and family about how they are feeling. They may find it helpful to talk to someone who is not directly involved in their situation.

Who is the counsellor?

Sue Black MA (Hons) Dip Couns MBACP (Accred) has over 7 years experience as a counsellor. She is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of practice. Sue has worked with Angus Carers as a counsellor since 2004.
