Founded in 1996, we are a well-established, Angus-wide organisation based in Arbroath. Our vision is that anyone who looks after a family member or friend, in a caring role, in Angus, receives appropriate information and support to enable them to feel valued, supported and confident in their caring situation, and to have a life outside, or alongside, their caring role.
(A carer is someone who provides unpaid care by looking after family members of any age, including young carers aged 8 plus, affected by physical or mental health problems, disability, and frailty or substance misuse.)
The organisation is governed by a Board of Directors and is presently looking to recruit new members to bring a breadth of experience and skills to the Board, and to strengthen the Board in specific areas.

Angus Carers Centre’s Board of Directors currently sits eight times a year, including our AGM in September. Directors are also invited to attend our Business Planning Strategy events and joint sessions with our staff team.
This role is unremunerated, none of the Association’s Management Board of Directors are salaried, but travel expenses will be paid.
Successful applicants will become part of a committed team of established Directors who provide organisational governance to a dedicated, professional and experienced staff team.
