ASD Parents Group  - Parent–to-Parent

  • Are you the parent/carer of a child with a social communication disorder?
  • Does your child have sensory difficulties?
  • Does your child behave in a way you find difficult to understand/cope with?
  • Do they have (or are working towards) a diagnosis of Asperger’s or Autistic Spectrum Disorder?
  • Would you benefit from the company of other parents with similar concerns/issues?

If you have answered yes to some of the above then this group may be for you!

The ASD parents group meets once a month on a Wednesday morning from 10.30am till 12 noon in Arbroath and Forfar.

This is an upbeat group of parents who are always ready to welcome new people and share their knowledge, practical strategies and experience with them. Parents say they come along to the group as they feel a sense of comfort and really enjoy chatting to other people who know what life can be like with a child on the Autistic Spectrum. There is lots of information sharing, informal advice and friendly support.

If you think this group could be for you, please contact Lynne Kelly (Angus Carers Centre) on 01241 439157.
